On the release of the Kankara Boys Science School, Kastina State abducted by gunmen last Friday, Governor David Umahi commended President Muhammadu Buhari for ensuring the release of the schools boy and reuniting them to their families.
Governor Uamhi who also commended the Security Chiefs and the National Security Adviser to the President insisting that the country is going through challenging time adding that rather than criticise Mr. President and the Security Chiefs, we should commend them for the efforts and achievements so far made.
“Patriotism is very important for the success of our nation. we should put our minds off the clamour for the security Chiefs to be sacked. When people said that the service chiefs should be sacked, the question is, are we going to bring in spirits?, these Service Chiefs, all they need is information, they need our support and they need our prayers. I must once more commend them for securing the children”.
Governor Umahi also insisted that the South East geopolitical zone has remain the safest in the area of security and described as laughable the claim by the Leader of indigenous people of Biafra IPOB, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu that he has set up a security outfit to secure the zone.
He commended the South East Governor for their committment towards ensuring the security of lives and properties of its citizens and urge them to ignore all the side distractions being propagated by the IPOB leader.
Governor Umahi urged the youths in the zone to remain peaceful and law abiding adding that the South East Governors are determined to ensure that they better the lots of the youths in the zone.
The Ebonyi State Governor also handed over the 300 bed capacity isolation center hospital constructed by the State government to the Federal Teaching Hospital Abakaliki, FETHA 2.
