Gov. Sule Commends Army Chief, Buratai over ‘victories’ against Boko Haram

The Governor of Nasarawa State Engr Abdullahi Sule has commended the Chief of Army Staff (COAS) LT Gen Tukur Yusuf Buratai for the chain of victories over the Boko Haram insurgents and also for upgrading the Special Forces Corps (SFC) located in Doma to a command.

Speaking while hosting the outgoing commander of the SFC, Major General Gbolahan Oyefesobi at the Government House in Lafiya, he said the COAS has constantly kept the state at his heart by monitoring the developments in the state.

While commending the joint military forces for taking the battle to the insurgents in the North East, he enjoined the military not to rest on their oars to flush out these terrorists putting the country in bad light.

Continuing Sule said with the upgrading of the SFC in Doma to a command, it would provide the state an added advantage in terms of securing the state. He expressed satisfaction with the Calibre of the officers and men in the command.

According to him the outgoing commander, Maj. General Oyefesobi is a real professional and he is being replaced by a veteran in the person of Major General M.I. Ali, who has served in the North East and so familiar with Boko Haram and its offshoot.

The Governor acknowledged the peaceful nature of Nasarawa State despite the fragment of security challenge in Toto which will be brought to control very soon.

THE DAILY VENDOR can authoritatively report that the military has recently burst the terrorist’s camp in Toto and killed four of them while retrieving various arms and ammunition in the process.
