The Abia State governor, Dr Okezie Ikpeazu on Saturday announced the dissolution of the state Executive Council.
The Governor also approved the recall of his Chief of Staff, Dr. ACB Agbazuere, who was earlier suspended from.ofrice.
This was contained in a statement issued on Saturday by the Chief Press Secretary to the governor, Onyebuchi Ememanka which directed all affected persons to handover all government properties in their possession.
The statement issued by Ememanka also directed those affected by the dissolution to also present their handover notes to the Permanent Secretaries of their respective ministries.
The statement signed by Ememanka reads thus in full; “The Governor of Abia State, Dr Okezie Ikpeazu, has approved the immediate dissolution of the State Executive Council.
“All those affected by this dissolution are to handover all government properties in their possession, together with their handover notes, to their respective Permanent Secretaries.
“The Governor expresses his deep appreciation to these men and women for their services to the people of Abia state, and wishes them well for the future,” it concluded.
