Gbadamosi, Alebiosu Secures PDP Tickets For Lagos East, Kosofe By-elections

Following Saturday’s primary election, Babatunde Gbadamosi has emerged the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), candidate for the Lagos-East senatorial by-election scheduled to hold on 31st October, 2020.

Mr. Abiante Awaj-Imombak, the Secretary of the PDP Electoral Committee, made this known while announcing the results of the party’s primaries held in Somolu, Kosofe, Ibeju- Lekki, Ikorodu, and Epe local government areas of the state.

Awaj-Imombak stated that 638 delegates were accredited and a total number of 624 votes were cast in the election, adding that 14 of the votes were voided.

According to what he said, Gbadamosi secured 529 votes to win the election, while Saidat Odofin Fafowora, got 59 votes to come second.

“The other two aspirants were Babatunde Olanrewaju and Yetunde Oyefusi, who scored 21 votes and 7 votes to place third and fourth, respectively,” he said.

Ademola Alebiosu, on the other hand, emerged as the PDP’s flag bearer for Kosofe State Constituency II.
