FRSC, Transport Ministry partner on safer roads in Anambra

The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) in Anambra state has expressed its readiness to partner with the Ministry of Transport towards ensuring a safer motoring environment in the State.

The Sector Commander, Andrew Kumapayi stated this while hosting the Commissioner of Transport, Mr. Afam Mbanefo in his office in Awka, Anambra state capital.

He assured the Commissioner of the FRSC’s commitment in ensuring that Roaf Traffic Crash is eliminated in the State, promising the Command’s full support in all the programmes of the Ministry.

Earlier, Commissioner Mbanefo said the essence of the visit was to seek for synergy with the FRSC in the State, particularly in areas targeted at creating a safer motoring environment in the State.

Both leaders agreed to further explore other operational areas and activities, to ensure sanity on the roads in the State.

Highlight of the visit was the presentation of a copy of the revised Nigeria Highway Code to the Commissioner by the Sector Commander.
