Former Anambra LG Chairman joins guber race – The Daily Vendor

The former Chairman of Nnewi South Local Government Area of Anambra State, Chief Rommy Okoli (The Messanger) has joined the November 6 governorship race under the platform of the All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA).

Chief Okoli’s declaration of interest and message of hope was released by his Goodness Campaign Office, an Initiative for Peace and Development of Anambra State.

“Beloved, remember that the naked need to be clothed and the afflicted need comfort. Think of the sick, the poor, the hungry, the motherless babies, orphans, widows, the less privileged and the hopeless. Show them love, mercy and do something good today for a better society.”

The former council boss said that his governorship aspiration is hinged on the premise above.

He said that never again shall the cry of the poor be forsaken under his watch as the governor of Anambra State.

Chief Okoli promised to wipe away the tears of Ndi Anambra who have suffered for so long.

“I promise and pledge in the name of Almighty God to serve Ndi Anambra with humility, honesty and diligently as I seek your support, vote and mandate to actualize this dream.” The Messenger noted.

The governorship aspirant who described himself as the New Face of Service to Humanity said his primary purpose is to build a new Anambra State.

“I have a dream that we shall rescue and free ourselves from this situation in Nigeria. We need to develop our state as an examplary economy with our huge human and material resources available since our country cannot and will never advance our development and growth.” The former council boss pointed out.

Chief Okoli said that he has been consulting with critical stakeholders and indeed constituted a Technical Committee after he had sought and heard God’voice over his guber aspiration.

“The technical committee will look at the possibility of achieving this burning desire for the betterment and benefit of our people, the farmers, traders, teachers, drivers, Okada/Keke riders, students, civil servants, mechanics, artisans, truck pushers and the unemployed.” Chief Okoli promised.

The APGA governorship aspirant said he has the experience, capacity, ideas, vision, contact and managerial skills to move Anambra State forward and deliver on his promise and social contract with the good people of the state.
