FLASH: Nigeria COVID19 cases near 1000

Nigeria, Thursday recorded additional 108 cases of COVID19 as confirmed by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), bringing the number of people that have tested positive for COVID19 to 981 just as over 40 frontline health workers were said to have tested positive.

The new cases are in Lagos (78); Federal Capital Territory (14); Ogun (five); Gombe (five); Borno (three); Akwa Ibom (two) Kwara (one) and one in Plateau as index case.

According to the NCDC, the death toll rose from 28 to 31. The number of discharged patients is 197.
