Federal government has appointed an Acting Rector of the Federal Polytechnic, Oko, Anambra State in the person of Uchenna Onyegbu.
Onyegbu’s appointment follows expiration of rectorship tenure of Engr. Dr. Francisca Unoma Nwafulugo as Rector of the institution on 2nd February, 2024.
The appointment, approved by the Honourable Minister of Education, Prof. Tahir Mamman, which took effect on 5th February 2024 is for an initial period of six (6) months.
Until this appointment, Mr Onyegbu was the Deputy Rector (Academic) and a chief lecturer in the Department of Public Administration of the institution.
He is a fellow of Professional Secretaries of Nigeria, Fellow, Nigerian Institute of Public Administrators and a member of several other professional bodies.
