The popular social networking site Facebook has gone down in India, as many users faced problem in opening its desktop version.
And suddenly WhatsApp and Instagram also stopped working in India and in different parts of the world. Facebook messenger is also not functioning.
The three apps – which are owned by Facebook and run on shared infrastructure – all completely stopped working shortly before 5pm (12pm EST). Other products that are part of the same family of apps, such as Facebook Workplace, also stopped working.
Following this development, millions of customers have fallen into misery. The situation has been the same in different parts of the world for the last few hours. At the same time, the news sources claimed that such disruption of four social media has not happened in the recent past.
Multiple users have expressed their problems through Twitter. Meanwhile, Facebook said through their website that something has gone wrong and they are trying to fix the problem as soon as possible. However, it is not yet clear how long this problem will last.
Facebook stopped working around 9:15 pm on Monday evening in India and along with that whatsapp is also not working. Similarly, in Messenger, WhatsApp and Instagram are also now disabled.
But the cause of this problem is not yet clear. Facebook did not inform users about this. Social media was crippled until the report was published.
