A former Principal Lecturer of Kaduna Polytechnic of the Department of Languages, Mr. Austin Umerah has killed himself at his residence at Kigo road in Kaduna.
According to Daily Trust Umerah had shot his wife, Dr. Maurin Umerah a part time lecturer at Department of Languages Kaduna State University (KASU) before killing himself.
The incident was confirmed by the state’s police Public Relations Officer, ASP Mohammed Jalige confirmed the incident.
However, his wife survived and is currently receiving treatment at the 44 Nigerian Army Reference Hospital, Kaduna.
According Daily Trust, the incident took place on Wednesday at 10pm.
The corpse of the deceased has been taken to the Barau Dikko mortuary.
