#EndSARS: Motorists groan as protesters block Enugu-Onitsha expressway

Vehicular movement was on Wednesday grounded following protests by scores of #EndSARS protesters in Awka, the Anambra State capital.

Motorists and commuters were kept for hours by the protesters who also paralyzed socioeconomic activities in the area.

The protesters moved to major streets in the city later converged on the Aroma junction by the Onitsha Enugu Expressway.

Chanting and dancing the protesters named about 12 youths in the state allegedly killed by defunct SARS in various parts of the state.

The spokesperson for the protesters, Uche Okoye, said they were still protesting even after the Inspector General of Police, Mohammed Adamu, had disbanded the outfit.

They demanded the punishment of the perpetrators of the killings of some youths in state.

The protesters who also blocked Government house, also moved to media stations in the state.
