EndSARS: Cross River relaxes curfew from 10.00pm to 6.00am from Sunday

The governor of Cross River state, Ben Ayade has directed that the prevailing curfew in Calabar metropolis be relaxed to now take effect from 10.00pm to 6.00am from Sunday, November 8, 2020.

A statement signed by the Governor’s Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Christain Ita and made available to newsmen on Saturday said the new time takes effect as from Sunday, November 8.

“The state governor, His Excellency, Sir Ben Ayade has reviewed the curfew imposed on the state and has directed that with effect from Sunday, November 8, 2020, curfew hours will now be between the hours of 10pm and 6am daily.

“Restriction of movement is hereby relaxed from 6am to 10pm,” the statement added.

Consequently, restriction of movement is now relaxed between the hours of 6am and 10pm.

By this development, members of the public are free to go about their businesses schedules.
