Former Minister of Aviation, Osita Chidoka has enjoined Muslims in Nigeria to seize the opportunity offered by the celebration of the birth of Prophet Muhammad, to offer prayers for peace and greater unity in the country.
He urged them to emulate the examplary life and leadership of Prophet Muhammad, by imbibing the spiritual lessons in the Holy Prophet’s teachings of love, piety, equity, justice and fairness, as well as peaceful co-existence and tolerance.
In a congratulatory message on the occasion of the 2020 Eid-el-Maulud, the former Corps Marshal of the Federal Road Safety Corps extended greetings to the Muslim faithfuls, rejoicing with them as they celebrate the Eid-el-Maulud, which marks the birth of the Holy Prophet Muhammad.
Chidoka in the statement signed by his Media Aide, Mr Ikechukwu Okafor said, celebration of Eid-el-Maulud especially at this period of social crisis in the country offers citizens another opportunity for sober reflection and spiritual rejuvenation.
Chidoka said, in the spirit of Eid-el-Maulud, our leaders must shun all divisive tendencies and work fervently towards building a better nation where no man is oppressed.
