Edo Guber: Obaseki Receives Chieftaincy Title From Oshiomhole’s Hometown

The Governor of Edo State, Godwin Obaseki, has been conferred with the Chieftaincy title of Onoshiorena of Uzairue (The One God has Crowned), by His Royal Highness, Alhaji Imonikhe Kadiri Omogbai IV, the Ogieneni of Uzairue.

The Deputy Governor, Comrade Philip Shaibu, was also installed with Oshiozekhai (It is God that chooses) of Uzairue Clan in Etsako West local government area of Edo state.

The conferment, the monarch said, was in recognition of God’s role in the affairs of the governor.

The DAILY VENDOR gathered that the clan consists of over twenty villages including Iyamho – the hometown of the former Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Comrade Adams Oshiomhole, an archrival of the governor.

The brief ceremony was held on Thursday, August 13, when the governor’s campaign train paid visit to the traditional ruler at his palace.
