The General Overseer, Omega Fire Ministries International, Apostle Johnson Suleman, on Sunday had a meeting with Governor Godwin Obaseki and his deputy, Philip Shaibu, ahead of the September 19, Edo State governorship election.
Governor Obaseki, now candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), had said the visit to Suleman’s Church, was to receive prayers prior to the election.
During the meeting, Apostle Suleman told Obaseki that his ministry shall continue to support his administration to enable it achieve excellence in the governance of the state.
Suleman prayed for Governor Obaseki and his running mate, Comrade Philip Shaibu, at the Church’s International Headquarters at Auchi, stating that the present administration deserves to govern the state for another four years.
“Though the altar is not for politics, the church will not stop to pray for those in authority.
“I am a close friend of the running mate to the governor, and I believe the present administration deserves to steer the ship of the state for another four years,” the man of God said.
Obaseki, on his part, said that the visit was to appreciate God for a successful tour of the state.
