Edo election: How a woman gave Obaseki victory – Nnamdi Kanu

Leader of the Indegineous People of Biafra (IPOB), Mazi Nnamdi Kanu has attributed the victory of the Edo state governor, Godwin Obaseki at the just concluded election to the bravery role of US Ambassador to Nigeria, Mary Beth Leonard.

Kanu in a statement by the Media and Publicity Secretary, Emma Powerful said visa ban imposed on perennial election riggers compelled them to quickly behaved themselves.

He described the election as the first truly free and fair elections in the history of Nigeria, which he said the European Union & United Kingdom have failed to do for over 60 years.

He said, “Here is Mary Beth Leonard, the courageous US Ambassador to Nigeria that delivered the first truly free and fair elections in the history of Nigeria in Edo State yesterday. Something the EU & UK have failed to do for over 60 years.

“This amazing woman imposed ordinary visa ban on perennial election riggers and they quickly behaved themselves. Add a bit of Nyesom Wike and the tenacity of Igodomigodo and you have the perfect result.”
