…gifts over 28 Chest Freezers, 36 generators others to constituents

Hon. Obinna Chidoka has gifted Freezer, generator sets to constituents as his way of encouraging and boosting their businesses.

The above was in fulfilment of the wishes and yearnings of his constituents, whom he represents at the national level.

The A star rated silent achiever legislator, who embarked on a community tour of his constituency in preparation of the February 25 general election splashed gifts such as Chest Freezers, Generators, Sewing and Grinding Machines among others on his constituents.

Chidoka during the community visitation noted that though he had done many empowerment programs in the past, but he recently realized that the process of selecting beneficiaries of such empowerment programs made it almost impossible for some of his constituents who were not known to the party executives to benefit.

He said, haven realized this, he saw the community campaign tour as an opportunity to reach his constituents directly and impact in the lives of those who truly need such empowerment.

Chidoka while handing out the gifts to the beneficiaries promised to periodically organize such direct empowerment programs in markets, communities to ensure that all constituents are given the opportunity benefit.

The Daily Vendor correspondent who covered the lawmaker’s tour of Awka Etiti community gathered that two decampee of the All Progressives Congress, APC were among the lucky 8 persons who got a chest Freezer or generator respectively in the community.

It was also gathered that the decampee were the woman and youth leader who dumped the APC for the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.

Speaking during the visits, the astute legislator emphasized that with his rank and experience in the green chamber, he stands a better chance of becoming a principal officer of the House of Representatives, a position which first timers are not opportune to occupy.

Insisting that as a principal officer or Chairman of a grade A committee he would do far much more for his constituents than he has done as an ordinary floor member.
