Don’t give up hope, NSCDC urges families of fallen corps

Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Anambra State Command has advised family members of officers who died in active service not to give up hope as the Corps would try its best to support  them at all times.

The State Commandant, Mr. Isidore Chikere gave the advice when he presented Anambra State Command Welfare Package to the next of kin of the dead officers at the State Commandant Headquarters Awka.

Chikere who condoled with the deceased families, noted that the monumental loss of the fallen heroes could not be compared to the value of the welfare package.

He expressed hope that the gesture would cushion the pains and sufferings of the family members, urging them to reciprocate the generousity by making judicious use of the money for the benefit of their families.

“The Commandant General, Dr. Ahmed Abubakar Audi, mni, has prioritised the welfare of officers and men of the Corps to motivate them in the fight against insurgency and other violent crimes in the country,” he said.

One of the next of kin, Pastor Nwasike, who spoke on behalf of others, thanked the State Commandant for recognizing the sacrifices of the late officers even in death.
