Despite Lockdown Bandits operate freely in Katsina

In spite of the Lockdown occasioned by the rising cases of COVID 19 in Katsina State in the North West of Nigeria, bandits are having a field day killing people and kidnapping others for ransom.

Three villages in three different Local Government Areas were attacked as confirmed by the Katsina State Police Command Spokesperson, SP Gambo Isah.

The villages are Mabai, Banyan Kasuwa and Musawa town. Both Musawa and Banyan Kasuwa in Dutsima LG are under lockdown as a result of COVID 19.

THE DAILY VENDOR learnt that a housewife identified as Hadiza Sale and her two children were abducted in Musawa town, but the children were later released while the woman was held.

Our sources also informed us, on Wednesday this week some bandits attacked Mabai village at the wee hours killing one Sada Musa while another man by name Karibu Mohammed was hit by stray bullet.

It will be recalled that some few days ago bandits also attacked katsalle village of the state killing two persons and no arrest has been made.
