COVID 19: Jigawa directs civil servants to resume work

The Governor of Jigawa State, His Excellency Muhammad Badaru Abubakar has ordered the reopening of state civil service from Monday 6th of July 2020.

The givernor gave the directives on Tuesday 30 June while briefing newsmen.

Badaru said the decision was reached following the decreasing number of COVID-19 cases in the state.

He said this is coming over the heels that for fifteen days, the state has not recorded a single COVID-19 case across the state.

He explained that all officers on grade 12 above must report back to work from Monday 6th July ,2020 and must strictly follow all the prevention measures’

The governor said this is necessary having put in place the necessary precautionaryeverything measures as directed that the Presidential Task Force on COVID 19 .

He said the state had earlier on open its markets and lifted the ban on intra state movement

However civil servants on grade level 1 to 11 that are not essential service providers are still encouraged to work from their homes.

The DAILY VENDOR reports that for over fifteen days now the state has not recorded any new case and only has 1 active case.
