COVID 19 cases: Anxiety as Nigeria sees highest single-day spike, toll nears 20,000

Again Nigeria has reported the highest single day coronavirus infection.

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control announced yesterday that the country recorded a total of 745 new cases for Thursday alone.

The new cases bring the number of cases confirmed in the country to 18480.

The centre however confirmed that about 6307 of the number have been treated and discharged, while a total of 475 deaths were recorded.

Giving the breakdown of Thursday’s infection toll by states, the centre said “745 new cases of #COVID19 Nigeria;
