Corps members take oath at 2021 orientation exercise in Anambra

A total of 2,021 prospective corps members were on Tuesday sworn in for the 2021 Batch C stream II orientation exercise in Anambra State.

The corps members, comprising 981 males and 1216 females were sworn-n following an oath-taking performed by the State Chief Judge, Honourable Justice O.M. Anyachebelu.

Speaking at the Nnamdi Azikiwe NYSC Unity permanent orientation camp Umuawualu /Mbaukwu Awka South LGA Anambra State, State Coordinator, Mrs Baderinwa Yetunde said the corps members were screened for COVID-19 and confirmed fit for the exercise.

She said three prospective corps members were nominated as corps camp directors to enhance participatory administration in Camp. She listed their names to include Hua Stella, Inyeke Gideon and Ojo Precious.

She further hinted that the corps members have also been grouped into platoons to enhance effective participation, expressing joy that they were adjusting fast.

She said, “I wish to congratulate the prospective Corps members for their success in the different institutions that qualified them for this stage.

“While I admonish you to embrace all the training and activities on camp seriously, I also wish to remind you that life on camp is regimented and can never be compared to what is obtainable in your homes.”

Appreciating the State Government for its various support to the NYSC, and urging them to sustain the tempo, Baderinwa challenged corps members to embrace all trainings and activities on camp so as to be transformed for a greater exploit and societal developments.
