Champions League: Kaka applauds Chelsea for defeating AC Milan

‘Kaka admitted the Blues ‘deserved’ to beat the Italian side because of their consistency’

Real Madrid and AC Milan’s former midfielder, Kaka has applauded Chelsea following their defeat of AC Milan in the Champions League on Wednesday.

The Brazilian, a former AC Milan player, admitted the Blues ‘deserved’ to beat the Italian side because of their consistency.

It was Chelsea’s first win in the Champions League under Potter, thanks to goals from Wesley Fofana, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Reece James.

The Italians will likely need to beat Graham Potter men in the reverse fixture next week to stand any chance of reaching the last 16.

“Chelsea deserved that result, I think they have a very consistent game they controlled the game the whole time. They didn’t create many opportunities but they took advantage of the opportunities they had.

“Most of them (chances) conceded by Milan and we were talking about the absence of the players and it’s important to keep the players that couldn’t play tonight but for Milan, it was a poor game.” Kaka said.
