CCTV footage: Two Bank robbers nabbed in Mumbai

By: Abhijit Ray, Kolkata, India

At the end of the year, an incident of a dangerous bank robbery was reported at a branch of the State Bank of India (SBI) at country’s capital city Mumbai.

A contract-worker with the bank was gunned down by the two masked robbers when he tried to stop them.

The incident took place at SBI’s Dahisar branch at Mumbai last Wednesday. The robbers looted INR 2.05 Lakhs cash.

The CCTV footage captured the entire robbery scene, and the same footage has gone viral. The footage shows that two masked strangers with guns are inside the SBI’s Dahisar branch and one of them pointed a gun. It was an extreme shocking scene to see  that the robbery and murder took place at day time in a metropolitan city like Mumbai.

However, upon receiving the news, the police immediately appeared at the bank. Senior police officers Praveen Parowal and Bishal Tagore arrived with the police force and started the investigation.

The bank employee who died in the incident was shot in the chest while he tried to stop the robbers after they entered the bank.
