Buhari appoints Umar-Sadiq as NSIA MD as Orji bows out

‘His appointment as the new MD/CEO followed the end of Uche Orji’s two-term’

Aminu Umar-Sadiq has been appointed as the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer (MD/CEO) of the Nigeria Sovereign Investment Authority, NSIA.

President Muhammadu Buhari also approved the appointed of Kolawole Owodunni and Bisi Makoju as Executive Directors of the Authority.

The Special Adviser, Media and Communications to the Finance Minister, Yunusa Abdullahi disclosed this on Monday in statement.

Umar-Sadiq was a former Executive Director and Head of Infrastructure at the NSIA prior to his new engagement.

His engagement as the new MD/CEO followed the end of Uche Orji’s two-term appointment of five years each since October 2, 2012, which elapsed on September 30.

The Nigeria Sovereign Investment Authority (NSIA) is an investment institution of the federation set up to manage funds in excess of budgeted hydrocarbon revenues.

He holds a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Engineering Sciences from the University of Oxford (Saint John’s College), Oxford, United Kingdom (UK)
