[BREAKING] Magu in the eye of the storm, as panel in the Presidency begins probe

Ibrahim Magu, the acting Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) is in the eye of the storm as he has been invited before a panel probing the activities of the agency sitting in the presidency.

The panel sitting in the Banquet Hall wing of the Presidential Villa is set to quiz the anti graff boss.

Magu who was stopped in traffic while moving out of the Wuse II Annex of the EFCC in Abuja and served the letter of invitation was unruffled as he drove off quietly.

The DAILY VENDOR News can report that Magu was on his way to the Force Headquarters to clear with the officer from FCID to clear his name of all the allegations against him.

However, he was informed that he is needed urgently and so by 2pm he had arrived at the Villa where he was ushered into the wing.

As at Press time, Magu has been joined at the Villa by his lawyer, Mr. Rotimi Jacobs.

Source said: “Both Magu and Jacobs are now in an office in the Banquet Wing of the Vila.

”He has not been arrested by any of the security agencies. We are awaiting further development.”

This may not be unconnected with allegations against him by the Attorney General and minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami (SAN) recently.
