[BREAKING] Katsina mourns as bandits kill many, set houses ablaze

The home state of President Muhammadu Buhari was attacked by bandits in the wee hours of Monday 10 August killing over 200 people and setting ablaze several houses.

The DAILY VENDOR News was informed that armed bandits attacked two communities under Kurfi Local Government Area of Katsina State shooting indiscriminately at the sight of anything.

A resident who identified himself as Abdullahi Kirfi confirmed that the bandits stormed the two communities around 9:40pm Sunday night on motorcycles heavily armed with weapons.

The DAILY VENDOR News learnt that they were shooting at every available object, adding that many residents escaped to nearby communities while some passed the night inside the bush.

“Around 9pm yesterday 9th 8, 020 Suspected Gun men entered Kurfi LGA katsina state shooting everywhere and killing anyone at sight, abducted Dr. Mustafa Kurf’s Brother and some others spending hours and left” He said.

The state is one of the states in the North-West that have suffered from repeated attacks by armed bandits on communities where not less than 200 people have been killed in 2020 while properties worth millions of naira destroyed.
