BREAKING: Imo Government House Police Inspector murdered

Information reaching THE DAILY VENDOR from Imo State indicates that the lifeless body of a police inspector, whose name was giving as Haruna Kaura, was found at a location in Owerri.

The Police Public Relations Officer in the state, SP Ikeokwu Godson Orlando who confirmed the incident to our correspondent on Tuesday said the police inspector (Haruna Kaura), with No.18PMF squadron, was attached to the Imo State government house.

THE DAILY VENDOR correspondent gathered that the lifeless body of the officer was found around Shell Camp Primary School in Owerri, the state’s capital.

According to SP Ikeokwu, “At about 8:am today Tuesday 28th of Apirl 2020, the command  received a report of a lifeless body lying around Shell camp primary school area, a team of policemen were dispatched to the scene, where the body was identified as Inspr. Haruna Kaura attached of No.18PMF squadron, who was attached to the state Government house.”

The report further revealed that, the deceased was observed to have had his identification card (ID card) in his palm and his trouser was pulled down, with his service pistol taken away, while marks of violence were visibly seen around the back of his neck region.

It was gathered that the corpse has been moved to the morgue, while investigation is ongoing.
