Governor Nasir El-Rufai of Kaduna State has denied the statement credited to him regarding the issue of power rotation.

The governor while answering questions on Sunday, in an interview on Channels TV, insisted that he didn’t pledge not to support any candidate from the Northern extraction for President in 2023.

The DAILY VENDOR recalls that last week, reports were rife about El-Rufai’s resolution not to back Northern candidates who intend to contest for the number one spot in the next general elections.

In the reports, El-Rufai said it was the turn for the South to produce the president.
