Boko Haram Terrorists Take Over Borno Community, Hoist Flag

Boko Haram terrorists have taken over kukawa community in Borno State and hoisted its flag there in a manner reminiscent of the pre-2015 era where the terrorists occupied large expanses of land in the state

Well, the latest story emanating from Borno relating to that development is a rather unpleasant and regrettable one. Boko Haram terrorists have again attacked Kukawa town in Kukawa Local Government Area of Borno State, killing many residents who had returned to the community last week, according to a report quoting military sources.

The report says that the terrorists also hoisted their flag in the town.

A resident of the community said that apart from those killed; several others sustained serious gunshot injuries from the attacks.

In the resident’s words:

“The terrorists have again taken over Kukuwa, even with a statement by the army to our people that the town was safe some weeks ago. Why will the army have no plans to protect civilians in Kukawa and let them return home?”

Despite the federal government’s repeated claims that it has ‘technically defeated’ and decimated the terror group, available evidence shows the contrary. The terror group continues to carry out ferocious attacks and wreak maximum havoc in the northern part of the country in recent times.
