Border Security Forces have arrested a Bangladeshi housewife who attempted to enter India through the smugglers route.
The Daily Vendor Newspaper correspondent in India gathered that the suspect made the unsuccessful attempt to enter India for medical reasons.
It was gathered that after hearing about her illness and scrutinizing the medical papers, the India Border Security finally released and handed her over to the Bangladesh Border Guard for the sake of humanity.
The Daily Vendor learnt that the Indian Soldiers took the action on humanitarian ground.
In her defense, the suspect revealed that she had applied for Visa to enter India severally, but she was denied Visa, a development that pushed her into choosing the smugglers route.
According to the BSF, the lady has been sent back to Bangladesh due to good relationship between India and Bangladesh.
According to local sources, the lady who resides in Naogaon district of Bangladesh, had been suffering from heart problems for a long time. The problem has only gotten worse in the last few months. So even under the Corona situation, she repeatedly applied for a visa to enter India. But after a few months, she did not get a visa.
According to the source, she became more ill recently and desperately tried to enter India after talking to the doctor in Vellore.
But she however attempted crossing the border on August 26, through BSF’s Ranaghat through a broker. But she was caught by the 99th Battalion at the border.
During the interrogation, the soldiers came to know about her illness and then she was handed over to the Bangladesh Border Guard without any legal action.
