Baby factory busted in Anambra, 3 underaged girls rescued

A baby factory and child trafficking syndicate have been uncovered in Umunze in Orumba South Local Government Area of Anambra State.

The discovery followed 3-month investigation conducted by AVG Orumba South led Chairman Orumba South LGA, Prince Neville S. Uchendu.

Daily Vendor gathered that three underaged girls were reportedly rescued during the operation.

According to Uchendu, the girls included habita Okoli (14) from Arondizuogu, Imo State; ThankGod Blessing from Bayelsa State and Chineye Mathew (20) from Ihite, Orumba South LGA, Anambra State.

The Council Area Chairman and his AVG were on their way to hand the victims over to Commissioner for Women and Social Welfare, Mrs Ify Obninabo as at time of filing the report.
