APGA chairman, members dump party for PDP in Enugu

Thrilled by the exploits of Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi of Enugu State, the APGA chairman of Inyi ward 2 in Oji River local government area have jettisoned their former party to pinch tent with the umbrella.

Announcing their defection during the Gov. Ugwuanyi’s Grass-root Students/Pupil Support Initiative organised by the Governor’s Technical Assistant on Student Affairs, Hon. Comr. Ejike Celestine Amaechi, the the Chairman of APGA in Inyi Ward 2, Hon. Ikechukwu Ike said his joining the PDP is “motivated by the Governor’s creative love and attention for Ndi Oji River which is evident in the many projects and transformations that the LG has witnessed under Gov Ugwuanyi.” He also urged other Party Leaders and faithfuls to “join Ugwuanyi and the PDP in the quest to sustain peace and development in Enugu state.”

At the event held on Monday, 15th February, Hon. Comr. Amaechi distributed School Bags, school Uniforms and Writing Materials to the Pupils of Agbariji Primary School and Joint Primary School, Agbariji, Inyi, Oji River L.G.A.

His Excellency, Rt. Hon. Dr. Ifeanyi Lawrence Ugwuanyi, represented by his Special Assistant on Student Affairs, Hon. Chidi Ilogebe, while addressing the pupils and the people of Inyi, commended the good people of Oji River for their continual show of love and support for his Administration from 2015, till date. He enjoined the pupils to show commitment to their studies as Education remains a solid path to achieving greatness.

The Head-mistresses of Joint Primary School Agbariji Inyi and Agbariji Primary School, Mrs. Edna Onuoha and Mrs. Monica Udeh also appreciated the Governor for Remembering their pupils in his Grassroot Student/Pupils Support Initiative. The PTA Chairmen of both schools, Mr. Tobias Onwumechiri and Mr. Raphael Obi also expressed their heartfelt gratitude to The People’s Governor.

The PDP Chairman of Inyi Ward 2, Mr. Harrison Ikedimma, speaking on behalf of other PDP faithfuls extolled the Governor for all the good things Inyi Ward 2 has benefited from his Administration while also commending Him for finding their son, Hon. Ejike Celestine Amaechi worthy of being his Technical Assistant on Student Affairs. He further reaffirmed their unflinching loyalty to the PDP and Governor Ugwuanyi.

The humanitarian event had in attendance, local government political party leaders, town union executives, village heads and numerous Youth & Student Leaders from the three Senatorial Districts.
