The Anambra State command of the Nigerian Police Force has announced the recovery of an abandoned Toyota car “reasonably” suspected to have been stolen.
According to a statement by the command’s Public Relations Officer (PPRO) SP Haruna Mohammed, the vehicle was recovered from where it was abandoned along Jubilee road at Igboukwu in Aguata Local Government Area of the state.
He said the metallic ash coloured Toyota Corolla Verso car with a Lagos number plate and registration number LSD 73 FE was taken to the Igboukwu Division of the police command, THE DAILY VENDOR reports.
SP Haruna however enjoined members of the public whose vehicle has been stolen and matches the above description to go to the Igboukwu division with proof of ownership to reclaim the vehicle.
“Today being 05/05/2020 at about 7:30am, a metallic ash coloured Toyota Verso SUV with Lagos Reg/No. LSD 73 FE reasonably suspected to have been stolen was abandoned by unknown persons along Jubilee road Igboukwu in Aguata LGA of Anambra State. Police operatives attached to Igboukwu Division recovered the Car to the Station.
“Consequently, the Command enjoined members of the Public whose Vehicle was stolen and matched above description to report at Igboukwu Division with proof of ownership in order to claim the Car please,” the PPRO said.
