Anambra NSCDC headquarters decontaminated against COVID19

The Federal Ministry of Environment has commenced decontamination of the headquarters of the Anambra State Command of Nigeria Security and Civil Defense Corps (NSCDC) against Covid-19 pandemic.

The leader of the delegation, Sanitarian Uche Chris Benjamin from Federal Ministry of Environment Abuja disclosed this when she led her team to the NSCDC headquarters, Awka, THE DAILY VENDOR reports.

Uche, accompanied by Sanitarian Abadom M .N. State President Environment Health Officers, informed the State Commandant that the visit was to present intervention materials and flag off the decontaminating of NSCDC Command Headquarters Awka as one of the measures to control the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic.

She said the exercise would not only protect officers and men of the command from the pandemic but would ensure that offices within the command premises were safe to work in.

She solicited for the support of the command to achieve the desired result.

Responding, the State Commandant of NSCDC, Comdt. David Bille appreciated the Federal Ministry of Environment for chosing the command as one of the beneficiaries of the decontamination exercise.

He reassured the team of Command’s support towards achieving the common goal of protecting lives and curbing the spread of the deadly Corona Virus in the State.
