Anambra Govt asks restaurants, bar owners to register businesses

The Anambra State Government has called on owners of restaurants, clubs, and bar in the state to register their businesses.

The call was made at the end of the three -day training for restaurants, clubs, and bar Owners in the State which was organized by the state Ministry of Diaspora Affairs, Indigenous Artworks, Culture and Tourism, Stakeholders in the Anambra State Hospitality Industry and Life consult Mega Services.

The training was aimed to educate participants on best ways to improve their food services and ensure good hygiene practices.

The three-day training which took place at Anambra South, Anambra North came to a conclusion at Anambra Central had business owners trained to be upgraded with the world class hospitality industry and services in the state.

Addressing the trainees, Anambra State Commissioner for Diaspora Affairs, Indigenous Artworks, Culture and Tourism, Dr Christian Madubuko encouraged business owners to access loans through the Anambra State Small Business Agency.
Dr Madubuko explained that Agency was set up by Governor Willie Obiano to help small and medium scale businesses have access to capital.

The Tourism Commissioner, however, warned that hospitality businesses in the State who fail to register their business with the ministry will be shutdown.

In an opening remark, Chairman of the occasion, Honourable Abuchi Nduba and the Chief Executive Officer of Life Consult, Sir Festus Anumba emphasized on the need for the business owners to come together as a trade union to be able to monitor their members and access loan from the government for development of their businesses.

They urged participants to observe good hygiene and maintain cordial relationship with one another in a good manner.

Responding on behalf of the trainees, Mr. Innocent Ugwu and Mrs. Chinyere Chikelu expressed delight with the choice of partnership with the state government and assured that they will register and comply with Government rules and regulations.

The event came to a climax with the issuance of Certificate of Participation to the participants witnessed by the State Commissioner for Health, Dr. Vincent Okpala represented by Director of Public Health and Disease Control Ministry of Health, Dr. Uchechukwu Onyejimbe, alongside Assistant Director NAFDAC Anambra State, Pharm Emmanuel Onogwu, among others.
