Anambra government denies N300 tax from pupils, students

…says government reduced fees payable in schools

The Anambra State government has dismissed as untrue allegation that the State Govt. is collecting tax of N300 from school children in the State.

Commissioner for Education in Anambra State, Prof. Ngozi Chuma-Udeh, in a statement by the Public Relations Officer of the Ministry, Nnaemeka Egwuonwu said govt. has reduced fees payable in schools from what it use to be in order to amiliorate hardship in the State.

She advised parents to immediately report to her any case of extortion of school children.
