Again, 150 youths empowered, trained on repairs and maintenance of renewable energy devices in Anambra

Another set of one hundred and fifty youths have completed their 3 day empowerment training on repairs and maintenance of renewable energy devices in Obosi, Idemili North Local Goverment Area of Anambra State.

The empowerment training program was powered by Orange Business Solutions Ltd and sponsored by the lawmaker representing Idemili North and Idemili South in the House of Representatives, Hon Obinna Chidoka.

Engineers from National Centre For Hydropower Research And Development (NACRED ECN) took the trianees through different course during the program.

Engr Dan Babarinde, a registered electrical engineer who was an instructor during the training sessions said that the issue around solar installations has made it imperative that the youths be trained in the field so that they can be useful to themselves and the society at large.

He pointed out that with adequate training on installation and repairs of renewable energy devices, the unemployed youths can create a nitche for themselves in the thriving sector.

Engr Babarinde said that apart from installation and repairs, the beneficiaries can venture into supply and sales of renewable energy devices which according to him is still a big business.

The Adm Manager of Orange Business Solutions Ltd Amaka Ndieni in her comment said that she was impressed with the positive response of the unemployed youths to the opportunity to get trained freely on a specialized sector.

She urged the beneficiaries to be forward looking and make best use of the opportunity that dropped on their laps on a plater of gold.

Amaka Ndieni appreciated the staffers of National Centre For Hydropower Research And Development (NACRED) for giving quality and qualitative training to the beneficiaries traniees.

Eze Chimaobi and Ene Chibuzor on behalf of themselves and all the trainees thanked the lawmaker representing Idemili North and Idemili South in the House of Representatives for the opportunity to better themselves.

The duo said emphatically that their lives would never remain the same again after the life changing empowerment training program.

Beneficiaries for the empowerment training program were drawn from the Alor, the home town of the Minister of Labour and Productivity, Dr Chris Ngige and other communities in the area were given starter kit and cash.
