Adopt Anambra’s New Housing Policy – Commissioner Urges Real Estate Developers

Anambra State Housing Commissioner, Hon. Pauly Onyeka, has called on real estate developers to improve on their standards of estates by adopting the solution master plan of Governor Chukwuma Soludo in constructing livable housing in the state.

The commissioner made the call when the executives of Anambra State Chapter of Real Estate Developers Association of Nigeria visited him at Jerome Udorji Secretariat Office Complex, Awka.

He charged the association to help in tackling the challenges of housing deficit and to transform the industry positively by implementing the new Anambrs State Housing Policy to make the state livable and prosperous for the people.

Onyeka was worried over the high cost of accomodation in the state, especially in Awka, and urged  the association to engage in massive housing  construction by pulling resources instead of depending on individual efforts and loans from the banks which are often not achievable.

“The white men always think big on how to make name for their society unlike our own case here where we run after personal glory”.

He called on them to always involve the government in their activities so as to be guided by the policies and laws of the state.

Earlier, chairman of the association, Sunny Nwachukwu, said they came to present the newly-elected executives of the association who will be inaugurated soon, even as they seek the state government’s assistance to the association in Anambra State.

He pledged the association’s resolve to complement Governor Chukwuma Soludo’s effort in transforming Anambra State positively.

“We also want to use this occasion to invite the honourable commissioner to the inauguration of the new executives of the association which will be held soon in Awka”.

Other exco members on the visit were the Vice Chairman, Mr Ude Ezechukwu Secretary, Mr Nzube Ekebosi, Auditor, Ezeamolue Sylvester,  Financial Secretary, Okeke Benjamin as well as the Legal Adviser, Barr Chidi Amaeze among others.
