Abductors of Nasarawa CAN Chairman demand N25m ransom

The Special Anti Robbery and Terriosist Squad of the Police in collaboration with local hunter are on the trail of abductors of the Nasarawa state Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) chairman Bishop Joseph Mason.

According to the state Commissioner of Police Bola Longe, the CAN chairman was abducted in his residence at Lafia, the state capital on Thursday.

He, said the command has drafted crack SARS operatives and also mobiled hunter and other security agencies to ensure that the CAN chairman is rescued.

According to Mr Lange, the bishop was abducted by some gunmen who stormed his residence in Bukan-sidi, Lafia metropolis in the early hours of Thursday May 28 2020 .

However, family sources told The DAILY VENDOR that the Bishop was abducted at about 12 midnight by gunmen who came in on motorcycle.

The source said although nobody was hurt during the incident, the family was traumatized.

The younger brother to the abducted CAN chairman who is also a clergy informed The DAILY VENDOR that the family have been contacted by the kidnappers who are demanding a ransom of twenty five million Naira.
