A new COVID 19 patient emerges in Anambra

The cases of the ravaging Coronavirus in Nigeria have now increased to 7261, with Anambra state recorded one new case of the virus.

The Nigerian Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) on Friday night confirmed 245 new cases.

The new case has brought the number of Covid-19 cases in the state to six, having recorded five earlier.

According to Nigerian Centre for Disease Control, “131 in Lagos, 16 in Jigawa, 13 in Ogun, 12 in Borno, 9 in Kaduna, 9 in Oyo, 9 in Rivers, 9 in Ebonyi, 8 in Kano, 7 in Kwara, 5 in Katsina, 3 in Akwa Ibom, 3 in Sokoto, 2 in Bauchi, 2 in Yobe, 1 in Anambra, 1 in Gombe, 1 in Niger, 1 in Ondo, 1 in Plateau, 1 in FCT, 1 in Bayelsa.”

The governor of the state, Willie Obiano, had during his last broadcast to the State, urged residents of the state to be calm as Covid-19 Task Force was on top of the situation to ensure that the threat was quickly contained.
