35 Snatched, Stolen Cell Phones Seized In Landikotal

LANDIKOTAL: Police in Landikotal foild a bid to smuggle snatched and stolen mobile cell phones to Afghanistan and arrested an Afghan national, officials said on Saturday.

Station House Officer(SHO) of Landikotal Akbar Khan Afridi told this scribe that they flagged a car(LED-6385)at Charwazgay police checkpost and serched the hidden cacities of the car. He said they recovered 35 different brands cell phones being smuggled to Afghanistan.

He said the seized mobile cell phones worth millions of rupees. He said they also took the car into their custoday and arrested the Afghan national identified as Shapur Son of Shakir. He was taken him to Landikotal sub-jail for further interrogation. 

It worth mentioning here that all the Pakistan Tele-communication Authority(PTA) blocked mobile cell phones are being smuggled to Afghanistan where the International Mobile Equipment Identity(IMEI) is being changed to unlock the mobile cell phones.
