3 kidnapped Kaduna Seminarians regain freedom

The Chancellor, Catholic Diocese of Kafanchan, Rev. Fr. Emmanuel Uchechukwu Okolo has confirmed that the three kidnapped seminarians of Christ the King Major Seminary in Gayit Fadan Kagoma Zangon Kataf local government area of Kaduna state, have regained their freedom.

The Daily Vendor Newspaper correspondent in Kaduna reports that Fr. Okolo who confirmed the report in a message he issued in Kaduna on behalf of the Catholic Diocese of Kafanchan said that they were released on Wednesday 13th October 2021.

It would be recalled that the Seminarians were Kidnapped by armed persons from the Chapel of the Seminary at Christ the King Major Seminary, in the State, on Monday 11 October, 2021 but released by their abductors barely 48 hours after.

The message which was addressed to the CBCN, Metropolitan Archbishop of Kaduna Province, Vicar Foranes, Priests, Religious, People Of God, All Men and Women Of Goodwill then thanked all those that have offered prayers and entreaties for the quick release of our Seminarians and others who are still in the dens of their kidnappers.
