Three persons, including two women sustained varying degrees of injury in a motor accident at Oraifite, along Onitsha – Owerri road, Anambra State.
The accident which occurred around 9pm yesterday, involved two tricycles with registration number JJT 313QR and the other with out registration number.
According to eyewitnesses, the crash occurred as a result of tyre bust leading to loss of control of the tricycle.
Confirming the incident, Sector Public Education Officer, Federal Road Safety Corps, Kamal Musa said one man and two women sustained varying degrees of injuries and bone fractures.
He said, “At about 0910hrs, a serious road traffic crash involving two Yellow tricycles with registration number JJT 313QR and the other with out registration number was recorded at Oraifite, about 13 km before FRSC office along Onitsha – Owere road.
“A total of five (5) people ( 3) Male Adults and (2) female adults were involved while ( 1)Male adult and( 2) female adults sustained varying degrees of injuries and bone fractures.
“They were taken to Nchedo herbal home before the arrival of FRSC rescue team from Oraifite Unit Command who ensured free flow of traffic while the road obstruction is being cleared.”
