Moghalu commiserates with Nnewi market fire victims

Chief George Moghalu has commiserated with the victims of the devastating fire incident that ravaged the popular Afia-Mgbede auto spare parts market in Nnewi, Anambra State, leaving traders and their families in distress.

The immediate past Managing Director of National Inland Waterways Authority (NIWA) and frontline Anambra Labour Party(LP) governorship aspirant, expressed deep shock and heartfelt sympathy over the incident.

Chief Moghalu extended his condolences to the affected traders and their families, lamenting the substantial loss of goods worth millions of naira caused by the inferno.

He acknowledged the devastating impact on the livelihoods of those dependent on the traders.

“I urge the traders to remain strong during this challenging time,” Chief Moghalu said. “I also call on the state government to provide financial assistance, rehabilitate the affected shops, and provide necessary resources to help them rebuild their businesses.”

Chief Moghalu expressed concern over the non-working fire service station in Nnewi, which could have helped curtail the fire on time. He emphasized the need for greater adherence to safety measures to prevent such incidents in the future.
