The operatives burst into the criminal gang’s den during a meeting where they were planning to commit havoc in Nibo, Awka South Local Government Area. Although Miracle was apprehended, his other gang members escaped, he noted.

During interrogation, the suspect confessed to the crime and led the operatives to an apartment at Ubuofu Awka, where the recovered rifle was hidden in the roof.

The police have launched a manhunt for the fleeing gang members and have assured the public that further developments will be communicated.

The Anambra State Police Command has urged residents to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities to the authorities.
