Provincial minister for religious affairs and harmoney Allama Muhammad Adnan Qadri on Thursday said that no nation could flourish and compete the world but only with education for all.
The minister was speaking as chief guest at prize distribution ceremony held at the Government Middle School Haji Ameer Kha Killay in Landikotal.The ceremony was attended by a large number of parents, local elders,traders and people religious scholars.
Adnan Qadri said gone were the days when parents not allow daughters to go put for schooling. He said along with men they believe that women have also equal rights to get proper education. He said despite unfavourable situation and poverty tribals are sending their children to schools especially girls.
Adnan Qadri said he was also focusing to ensure quality of education facilities for children in his constituency.
He expressed his delight that students in government schools are being taught the Quran with its true spirit. He sais that the initiative began during the tenure of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf(PTI) Chairman Imran Khan as prime minister, who made Quranic education mandatory in public sector schools. Furthermore, he emphasized that students in government schools would also learn the Quran with translation.
Adnan Qadri announced plans to introduce Quranic translation, tafsir (exegesis) and Seerat-un-Nabi (biography of the Prophet Muhammad, PBUH) as part of the curriculum in government schools after the provincial assembly pass the bill already tabled.
He said solar systems would also be installed in all government schools in Landikotal, with Ameer Khan Middle School being a priority.
He said efforts would also be made to secure funds for construction work in the school.
Highlighting the importance of education, Adnan Qadri stated that no society could progress without it. He urged both teachers and parents to focus on their children’s education, emphasizing that education is the foundation for achieving dreams.
“These children are the future heroes who will bring pride to the nation,” he added.
The minister distributed prizes and shields among the noys and girls students who completed the Nazra Quran(Khatam-e-Quran) for the first time.
