A former governorship aspirant, Mr Paul Orajiaka has declared interest to contest in the Anambra South Senatorial district election billed for early next year.
Mr Orajiaka, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Auldon Group said he would prosecute the senatorial election on the platform of Labour Party (LP)during a chat with journalists on Thursday.
The CEO of Auldon Group whose businesses have recognition by the Forbes Magazine and other reputable international media houses said his primary ambition is to build for the greater good of Anambra South senatorial district.
He noted that his major plan for Anambra South senatorial zone is to enhance the security, health, electricity, employment, education and road construction in the zone.
“I’m passionate about service, I have worked so hard and God has blessed my efforts, I have made success out of my business and I need to run for public office for public good, greater reach and impact.
“I have consulted the LP officials in the seven local government areas in my senatorial zone, I have met the zonal excos, I am doing all these to go to the senate to be part of the process to formulate policies that will positively impact the entire Anambra South senatorial zone”Mr Orajiaka explained.
He also promised that he would neither be a rubber stamp in the Senate chambers nor be lost in the crowd of senators.
“I am going to add to the number of outstanding senators to make the red chamber of the National Assembly effective and seen in it’s proper perspective. I am coming with my own mindset and approach to better my people,” the LP senatorial aspirant stressed.
Mr Orajiaka during the roundtable discussion paid glowing tribute to the presidential candidate for Labour Party (LP) in the last general elections, Mr Peter Obi who he described as a father with many children.
“We must give respect and honour to whom it is due, Mr Peter Obi is the national leader of our party and as such should be accorded the respect due to him, but when it comes to election, I know that he would make free level playing ground available to all the contestants, The LP senatorial hopeful declared.
He said that Mr Peter Obi has always asked people running for elective positions to go and do their homework noting that the case would not be different in the February 2025 senatorial rerun.
