President, Joint Transporters Forum (JTF), Anambra State Chapter, Comrade Elvis Okolie has described projects embarked on by Anambra State governor, Prof Charles Soludo as signature projects that would outlive both immediate and future generations.
Okolie who made the observation when he led some top notchers of the forum on projects tour in various locations across the state noted that the projects were not only good for transporters, but for other economic businesses in the area.
He said, “The essence of the inspection tour is for the JTF, comprising the okada, Keke, taxi, bus, mini truck and heavy duty operators in Anambra who are very much interested in the business of transportation to go round and see all the ongoing and completed signature projects embarked upon by Governor Soludo administration, drawing from different areas.
“In fact, getting to this particular point, we are so surprised that such massive work is going on here.This is a signature project, this is a project that will outlive generations to come.”
Okolie who is also a staunch member of Soludo Ambassadors acknowledged that Anambra state money is working, pointing out that they are very happy to go round and see things for themselves.
“We used to understand that here in Ekwulobia, the type of traffic jam, the people used to experience and rest of other things, especially those travelling to Imo State spend more than two hours in luck jam, the moment they got at this popular Ekwulobia junction.
“The issue is that many people in the state, did not know what they had been going on in the state, in terms of construction works and rest of others, adding that works are going on at various places in Anambra State, but regretting that no department takes care of monitoring and evaluation.
“Mr Governor has deemed it feat to ease off this place and enable ease business, this place is very very important in the transportation system of Anambra State.
“So, Joint Transporters Forum (JTF) in collaboration with Soludo Ambassadors have taking it upon themselves to go round and see what is actually happening, because from here, one can get to Imo, Abia and other States.
“If we had not gone round, we wouldn’t have seen this ongoing wonderful construction works in various parts of the state,” he explained.
Describing as massive Soludo’s ongoing projects, especially Ekwulobia fly-over, Okolie said that the JTF was well pleased with the Governor Soludo administration.
“Not only that it is good for the transporters, but this is also good for other economic businesses in the area. So, we want to say kudos to Mr.Governor because he is actually doing well,” Okolie added.
On his own part, Chairman, Keke Owners and Riders Association of Nigeria, Awka Zone and Coordinator, Soludo Ambassadors, Anambra State Chapter, Prince Collins Ozojiofor described Soludo as a magician who is performing well with Anambra tax money.
“The tour had taken us to the new ongoing Anambra State Government House, Governor’s Lodge and other facilities, construction work on Arroma fly-over, Ultra Modern Trauma Centre at Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University Teaching Hospital, and Solution Fun City all in Awka.
“We are now at the ongoing construction work on Ekwulobia fly-over, in Aguata Local Government Area of Anambra State to have firsthand information.
“Governor is doing well with Anambra State tax money, I must tell you the truth, I am surprised, Soludo is a magician and he is doing well with Anambra tax money.
“You can see, the ongoing Ekwulobia fly-over, it is wonderful, among other places we have toured, they are all wonderful, Soludo has turned Anambra State into projects state”, he harped.
The Prince Ozorjiofor, who added that he was so impressed with what they have seen on ground, pleaded with Ndi-Anambra to support Governor Soludo’s second term bid come 2025, affirming that the JTF in collaboration with Soludo Ambassadors was giving him its hundred per cent support, as he hinted “our votes are for him.
“Yes, the projects are cited in the communities across the state, my humble adivce to our people is to support Governor Soludo’s second term bid and give him chance to continue with his wonderful and marvelous work in the state.
At the new completed Ogbaru General Hospital by Governo Soludo in Ogbaru Local Government Area, a member of Soludo Ambassadors and Anambra State Chairman, Association of Taxi/Cab Operators, Comrade Chibelo Okoye, confirmed that Governor Soludo is doing a very big job in Anambra State, describing what he saw in the general hospital as marvelous with particular references to the hospitals.
