Edo Election ‘Under Fire’: PDP Candidate Alleges Irregularities

The Peoples Democratic Party’s (PDP) candidate, Asue Ighodalo, has raised concerns over the Edo State governorship election, labeling it potentially the worst in Nigeria’s history due to alleged irregularities.

During a live press conference, Ighodalo cited instances of electoral infractions, including polling units with zero accredited voters yet announcing results. He questioned the credibility of the announced results.

Governor Ahmadu Fintiri of Adamawa State echoed these concerns, stating PDP agents were denied access to collation centers, further questioning transparency.

Fintiri urged INEC to follow its rules for fair and transparent collation.
